Cherai Beach is picturesque beach located on the north end of Vypeen Island. This island is one of the several tiny islands that are located just off the shore of the mainland. Vypeen island is one of the few that can be reached by both land or by boat. The beautiful sandy beach is lined by luscious green coconut groves and paddy fields. The combination of white sand, blue water, and green vegetation makes for one breathtaking oasis. In fact, this beautiful spot is extremely popular with picnickers as well as sun worshippers and beach lovers.

Blue Waters is a terrible hotel! Their site is full of lies about views and facilities. There is a public toilet block between their hotel and the beach for instance! They have no beach access - no sunbeds or beach support. Their location is next to the most public part of the beach served by busses and taxies and half of Kerala uses the beach there! Most of this hotel has a men-only drinking club below, which stays open 'til the small hours. Front desk staff are very nice but with little english. Management are extremely rude and unhelpful. I advise you look eleswhere!

We enjoyed Cherai Beach very much. The stay at Renaissance Blue Waters Cherai was the icing on the cake. This resort boasts of well equipped decent, clean rooms. Our stay at Cherai was made memorable by the Renaissance Blue Waters Cherai..........Thank you very much . I would recommend everyone to enjoy the hospitality they have to offer....Surely we would visit & stay at Blue Waters Cherai....................
