Best Season / Best time to visit Junnar
Junnar experiences tropical conditions and the climate is similar to that of Pune. Summer temperatures are high and can be uncomfortable for those who are not used to the heat. The monsoon season gets certain amount of rainfall. Winters are also dry and mild and this is a good time to visit Junnar.
The summer season starts from the month of March and ends in May. Temperatures are dry and the heat can be stifling during the day. Temperatures range from a minimum of 30°C and can rise up to a maximum of 38°C. The months of April and May are the hottest part of the year.
Monsoon season is from June to September. The rainfall is not as extensive as that of Mumbai as this place is located on the leeway side of the Western Ghats. It is possible to visit the place during this period and the temperatures range from 10°C to 28°C during this period. June is the wettest month of the year.
Winter season is from December to February. Temperatures range from a minimum of 6°C to 28°C. It is advisable to have protective clothing, if you are travelling during this period.
