Jodhpur Attractions

Ganesh Temple is situated in a place called Ratananda, which is about five kilometres away from Jodhpur city. Lord Ganesh is the elephant god and the son of Lord Shiva in Hindu mythology. Myth has it that a person, who was a teacher by profession, one day saw a huge statue of Lord Ganesh in the hills of Ratananda. The statue was said to have a height of 8 feet and a width of 5 feet. A temple was constructed where the statue had been found. This temple attracts thousands of devotees each year.
