Jharkhand was formed by reducing the state of Bihar in the start of the 21st century. Jharkhand is mainly an industrial state which is home to the Bokaro steel city. Jharkhand has all the important minerals which are necessary for the production of steel. Jamshedpur is also in Jharkhand, and is an important town involved in promoting the economy of the state.

Over the years, tourism in Jharkhand has been in the upward direction, with a lot of shopping malls and entertainment zones cropping up. Jharkhand has a lot to offer tourists at really affordable prices. The hotels here are available at moderate prices and the cuisine is divine. Jharkhand offers typical North Indian delicacies with a blend of their own traditional cuisine like the famous Dhuska.

The Betla national park attracts tourist from all round the country. A lot of rare species of birds and animals descend here during their breeding season. This national park was sanctioned as a tiger reserve by the Government of India. There are a lot of beautiful gardens and parks in Jharkhand especially in the industrial areas to prevent pollution of air.

Jharkhand can be split into three major districts - Bokaro, Ranchi and Singhbum. The districts are pretty small but they have some of the most important industrial sectors in India.

Bokaro, which is famous for the steel industry situated, is responsible for the economical development of the state. The town is formed by valleys formed by the river Damodar. The river deposits the useful minerals, necessary for the manufacture of steel, on its banks.

Bokaro invites students and trainees from all over the world to help in the research and development of the steel manufacturing unit. Being an industrial town, it includes many recreational areas. There are other new malls coming up, which would help in bringing non industrialists into the state.

The capital of Jharkhand is of huge historical importance. It is not as industrialised as Bokaro and Jamshedpur but it is economically important to the state. Ranchi has excellent transportation facilities to every part of India and it makes it all the more important because it would help in the dispatch of goods, manufactured in Bokaro and Jamshedpur to and from Ranchi.

The tourism industry is good, considering that Ranchi is quite a small town. Opportunities galore have opened up in Ranchi in recent years, and the city has evolved from a sheepish little town into a state capital.

Singhbum is a small district bordering Ranchi. The most prominent town here is Jamshedpur, which was named after renowned industrialist Jamshedji Tata, who founded the TATA group of industries here. The town has a number of industries manufacturing products ranging from cars to steel.

Jamshedpur has an excellent internal transport system and the administration in this town is very efficient. From a tourist’s point of view, Jamshedpur attracts students and researchers interested in training and conducting researches. In addition, Jamshedpur is coming up with innovative projects to beautify the town and make it more tourism friendly.

A visit to India is never complete without a visit to the state which manufactures India.
