Best Season / Best time to visit Janjgir
The region of Janjgir experiences three main seasons and they are summer, monsoon and winter season. The conditions are extreme in the summer months and it is difficult to visit the place during this time. Due to the intense heat many tourists avoid the summer season. Rainfall is abundant during the monsoon season and the end of the rainy season marks the beginning of the peak tourist period. Winters are milder and it might be advisable to travel with light winter clothing as nights are chilly.
The months of March, April and May constitute the short summer season. This period is extreme and one can expect the temperatures to rise up to a maximum of 49 degrees Celsius during certain years. The lowest temperature that you can expect during the summer season is around 35 degrees Celsius. The month of May is the hottest month of the year.
The town of Janjgir receives rainfall during this period and due to the perennial rainfall it is difficult to visit the place at this time. Sightseeing is difficult and tourists generally prefer to avoid the monsoon period. October and November form the post monsoon season and temperatures are much milder and this is an ideal time to visit.
Temperatures vary from a minimum of 8 degrees Celsius to a maximum of 26 degrees Celsius during the months from December to February.
