The region of Jamnagar experiences a tropical climate, much similar to the rest of Gujarat. This region faces three main seasons throughout the year – summer, winter and monsoon. Summers in Jamnagar are very hot and winters are moderately cold.
Summers in the city of Jamnagar are very hot and humid, due to its proximity to the sea. The summer seasons comprises of four months, namely, the months of March, April, May and June. These four months will experience a maximum temperature of around thirty seven degrees (37°C) and a minimum temperature of twenty six degrees (26°C). Travelling to Jamnagar during this time is a bad idea as the humidity is high.
The months of June, July, August and September are the monsoon months in Jamnagar. Rainfall is highest during the month of July, and heavy rainfall will also strike the city during August – September.
Winters in Jamnagar normally extend through the months of late October, November, December and January. February experiences a moderate climate. The winter season is the best time to visit Jamnagar. The maximum temperature during the winter will range around thirty two degrees (32°C) and the minimum temperature will fall to levels of twelve degrees (12°C) during January.
