Best Season / Best time to visit Jaldapara Wildlife Sanctuary
The climatic conditions of the wildlife sanctuary can be classified as tropical and there are three main seasons that can be experienced here. They are summer, monsoon and winter season. Summers are quite warm and temperatures can be expected to climb rapidly during the peak summer season. The place is generally humid, except during the winter season. Monsoons are long and torrential rainfall is to be expected. Winters are pleasant and nights can be chilly.
The summer season is during the months from March to May. You can expect the barometer to climb to a high of around 38 degrees Celsius during this time. The lowest expected temperature is around 27 degrees Celsius. Short thunderstorms are common in May and this provides relief from the heat.
The monsoon season is during the months of June, July, August and September. During this period the park is closed due to constant rainfall. The park reopens during the post monsoon months of October and November. The climate is moderate during this period.
The winter season is during the months from December to February. Temperatures can be expected to drop to around 10 degrees Celsius during the winter season. The highest expected temperature during this period is around 20 degrees Celsius.
