Jain Mandir

Tags: Temple, Religious
Shivdas Pura

A marvelous shrine, which is synonymous with the Delwara Temples of Mount Abu, the Jain Mandir is a seven-storied structure, with huge spires. Construction of the temple took several phases and the last phase was probably completed in the 10th century. The principal deity of this sacred shrine is Lord Adinaath, whose image is believed to be 400 years old.

The temple is built with red stone and it exhibits exquisite carvings and splendid sculptures. An artistic marvel, Jain Mandir’s inner sanctum is adorned with the stunning image of Lord Parswanath who is flanked with seven serpent lids. Temple also houses the enthralling figurines of lianas, lotuses, and elephants pouring water from carafes.
