Hanuman Gargh is an ancient city in the State of Rajasthan. There are many archeological sites that can be found in the area. The city is famous for its 900 years old fort that was the built by the Bhatti Rajputs and it is known as the Bhatner Fort. A Badhrakali Temple is situated near the city. This is situated near the Ghaggar River.
The area around the fort is thought to very old and the archeological site around the place have produced many terra cotta utensils and a number of coins that are yet to be dated. There are many such sites that can been seen in the surrounding areas and they are a popular place for tourists who are interested in history.
There are many festivals that can be seen in the city throughout the year. Some of the well known festivals are the Badrakali Mela, Gogameri Mela, Pallu Mela, Shila Mata Mela, Mahitab Singh, Ji Yadgari Mela and many others.
Many pilgrims from the Northern parts of India attend the festivals. Some of these festivals take place every week and some of them are celebrated once in a year. Hanuman Gargh is well connected by road and rail as well.
