Weather & Best Season of Gokarna |
Gokarna has a semi tropical moderate climate. Summer during March to May has the temperature range between 18°C to 40°C. Winter during November to January has a temperature range of 14°C to 32°C. Monsoon months June to August accompany heavy rainfalls making it difficult to move around the beaches and the season is dangerous for swimming.
Shivarathri festival during February-March, celebrated in 4 days, is a huge attraction in Gokarna. A procession with 2 giant chariots pulling down to the main street is a major draw.
Best season to visit here is October to March avoiding monsoon and hot summer months.
