Best Season / Best time to visit Dindigul
Dindigul experiences tropical weather conditions and it is much similar to other parts of inland Southern India. Summers are hot and dry and humidity is also relatively high. Much like other nearby cities summer temperatures can reach around 40°C. Dindigul gets rain from the North East Monsoon and the winters are generally cool.
Summer season is from the months of March to May. During this time temperatures average in the mid thirties and can rise even higher in peak summer. May is the hottest month of the year and heat waves are common. Temperatures range from a minimum of 32°C and can rise up to a maximum of 40°C. Summers are not a good time to visit due to the extensive heat.
Monsoon season lasts from June to September. The North East Monsoon brings good amount of rainfall to the town and temperatures are much cooler during the monsoon season. This is good time to visit as relatively lower temperatures make it comfortable.
Winter season is from the months from December to February. During this time temperatures reduce gradually and January is usually the coldest month of the year. Winter temperatures range from a minimum of 20°C and goes to a maximum of 30°C.
