Masur is famous for its rock-cut cave temples. The temples here bear a stark resemblance to the caves at Ajanta and Ellora and the main attraction here are the beautiful idols of Lord Ram, Goddess Sita and Lakshman.

The idols in the temples are badly damaged which means tourists need to maintain safe distance and conserve the area. These highly ornamented cave temples are the only rock shrines in North India and a sculpted lawn and artificial lake surrounds them.

The place is located 15 km south of Kangra and about 47km from Dharamsala which can be reached by taxi within 1 hour. Trilokpur and Jwalamukhi are some nearby places to visit.
