Best Season / Best time to visit Dalhousie

Dalhousie is a famous destination which has pleasant climate for most part of the year making it tourist friendly, but the tourist season is from throughout the year.
  • Winter (December to February) are chilly with temperature ranging between 10°C to 1°C. Snowfall usually occur during winters making it ideal for honeymooning.
  • Summer (March to May) are pleasant with maximum average temperature less than 35°C. Summers are perfect for nature walks and sightseeing. Snow can be enjoyed on high altitudes.
  • Monsoons (June to mid September) are attractive here with mild intermittent showers which are not of much inconvenience.
The beautiful hill station of Dalhousie is apt for sight seeing and all other adventure activities in summer. Monsoons are good for short trips and stimulating for nature lovers., while winter season is dominated by snow and is perfect for all those who admire snowfalls. However, take necessary precautions.

This is last official month to visit Dalhousie as after this cold waves envelope the region, and extra precaution is required if travelling with kids. Snow can be found on the mountain slopes.
Dec
Very Cold 		The region is dominated by cold waves, and extra care needs to be taken if travelling with kids and old people. Fresh snowfall begins at the end of the month and the area gets carpeted with snow. If you are planning to enjoy a leisure holiday, this mightn't be the best time, but it is ideal for honeymooning.

We are planning to visit dalhouise on 4th of january.....is there snowfall right now? and is the visibility good?? are roads blocked?

we had been to dalhousie from 26 th to 29 th.We came back today.There was no snow fall during our stay, and the visibility was good,though slight snow fall we experienced on 28 th during our journey to khajjiar, I hope you will experience snow fall during your visit. There is no road blockage right now, but Dion kund is blocked for visit.

we are planing to go there in oct 2nd to 5th oct advice me hotel charging around RS1000 per day.we need two rooms for 6 adults.
