St. John's Church

, Dalhousie

With memories of the British regime, this Protestant Church in Dalhousie is a reminiscent of the Victorian era. This soaring formation is a replica of the Roman Catholic Church of England. Built in the year 1863, the Church happens to be the oldest shrine in the city.

Situated on the Gandhi Chowk, around 2 km from the main bus stand of Dalhousie, this elegant building bear historical significance. Tourists can reach there by taxi or on foot.

The Church library houses a rich compilation of books and rare photographs, which precisely describe the history and culture of Dalhousie. This imposing structure is nested in the backdrop of pretty surroundings. Though tainted, the stain glass portholes of this Church add to the beauty. Regular Prayer Services are held every Sunday.
