Placed in sector-23A, the Children Traffic Park covers a wide area of 12.5 acres. The rationale behind this wonderful theme is to make the children aware of the traffic regulations and rules that are to be obeyed while they are on the road. Though this is mainly aimed at the child force, there is no bar for others to visit the park and take part in the exhibition and other related activities.
The Children Traffic Park houses one exhibition hall and a lecture-cum-cinema hall, which has a capacity of accommodating 120 persons. Verdant lawns, plants, trees, flowerbeds and roads erected for schooling on road safety, enclose the outside area of the park.
A driver track in the park has all the characteristics of a real road with traffic control mechanisms such as road bents, inclines and declines, overpass, underpass, parallel parking area, blind alley, uncontrolled intersections, T-Intersections, Stop Signs and Blinkers. Road markings and road signs displayed at the track gives the feeling of a drive on regular roads. Working hours of the park in winter are scheduled between 8 am to 6 pm and in summer it is fixed in between 8 am to 7 pm. Park also conducts driving tests for children thrice in a week and its time is set between 9 am to 10 am.
