Best Season / Best time to visit Chandel
The climatic conditions of the Chandel district are similar to the climactic conditions of the rest of the state and the conditions can be classified as a tropical monsoon type. The place experiences three main seasons and they are summer, monsoon and winter seasons. Summers are hot and one can expect conditions to be difficult. Temperatures are never extreme; however the humidity is considerably high in these parts. Winters are cold and temperatures can be expected to drop down to the single digit mark regularly.
The summer season is during the months from March to May. It may extend till the month of June during some years. The maximum temperature that you can expect during this period is around 35 degrees Celsius. Thunderstorms are common feature during the summer season as well and cotton clothing is essential if you are visiting during the summer season.
As with the rest of the state, the monsoon seasons are extensive in this place. Perennial rainfall can be expected and this is not a good time to visit as humidity is very high. The months from June to September constitute the monsoon season. The peak tourist season starts in the month of October.
The winter season is during the months of December, January and February. Temperatures can drop to the 0 degrees Celsius mark during this period.
