Best Season / Best time to visit Bomdila
The town of Bomdila has an alpine climate and the conditions are pleasant for many months. Summers are especially mild and this is the peak tourist season. There are three main seasons in the town and they are summer, monsoon and winter. Winters are cold and one has to be prepared with woolens while travelling during this period. The place gets rainfall through the year.
The summer season starts in the month of April and extends up to the month of June. The conditions are always mild and the temperature rarely increases beyond 32°C. Nights are much cooler and summers are a good time to visit the place. The lowest expected temperature is around 20°C during the summer season. June is the hottest month of the year.
The place gets rainfall throughout the year. The predominant rainfall is from the South West Monsoon and this is during the months from July to September. Temperatures average in the late twenties during the monsoon period. The months of October and November may also receive some rainfall.
The winter season starts in the month of December and extends till the end of February. Temperatures range from a minimum of 11°C and can go up to a maximum of 26°C during this time.
