On the eastern side of Baratang Island, about 9 km from Nilambur is the beautiful empty beach of Baludera. This unpolluted shallow and isolated beach is perfect for swimming. During low tide one can even splash through a kilometer. With its eco-friendly and tree top huts, visitors can have a great time. Besides, they can also enjoy elephant rides.
