Badarinath has a cool climate all through the seasons.

Winters (November to February) are chilly days with average minimum touching near 5°C. Minimum can touch sub zero levels and snow falling seen very often during winters. These months are perfect for travelers liking chilly climates.

The best season to visit Badrinath is all through the year. Tourist attraction in Badrinath is the holy temple - it is open for public during May to mid November.

May to November offers cool and pleasant climate and the right period to visit the temple and also ideal for sight seeing.
December to February is very cold and chilly. Keep winter clothes to cover up the body if opt for a visit during this period.
March and April are very pleasant and perfect for all sight seeing and outings.

Events & Festivals in Badrinath

May – June is the period for Kedar-Badri Utsav, which is a cultural festivals of arts and musics.
July-August offers the festival of Janmashtami. This festival is celebrated with many processions, pomp and show.

September is attractive here with Mata Mruti Ka Mela, which is celebrated in Badarinath with many rituals and festivities.

plz chk .temp are sub zero and the place is not open for public in winter time...at most ucan go is till mid way frm joshimath to badrinat. It closes guess 5 days after diwali which is generally first week of november....and reopens on 1 may

The oxygen level both at Badrinath as well as Kedarnath is comfortable for persons of age upto 70. In case a person is having tghe ailment of breathing inconveniences or troubles, he should be careful. When I went to Badrinath in 2008 and at my age of 68, I never felt any discomfort for want of oxygen

the State tourist development corporation arranges bus for the visit to Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangothri and Yamonotheri as a package which includes food, accomodation and travel by 3 seater bus. They have office both at Rishikesh and Hardhwar.

Excellemnt narration, combined with photographs so professionally clicked, giving a very clear view of the sceneries. One would love to make a viswit to these places after reading the travelogue. Of course I have already made in May 2008
