Best Season / Best time to visit Andaman

Andaman has a moderate temperature all through the year within the range of 23°C to 31°C. It has a tropical climate. There are no severe climate conditions except for tropical storms and rains in late summers and monsoons. The best time to visit Andaman is from October to May.
  • Winters (December to February) are not chilly and pleasant. The period is ideal for sightseeing, water sports and other tourist activities.
  • Summers (March to May) are warm but pleasant with sea breeze and have humidity level about 80%. It is suitable for all kinds of tourist activities.
  • Monsoons (mid-May to August) and Post Monsoons (September to November) accompany medium to heavy rainfalls. It is not a good time for visit but the natural environs looks very attractive in monsoon.
June to September is prone to thunder storms and heavy rains, which makes it difficult for tourists to enjoy the sightseeing. October to May is ideal for sightseeing and also to engage in water sports activities.

The place experiences cool and pleasing climate during this month. Days are accompanied by clear blue skies. The weather is not chilly and suitable for sighting attractions, enjoying at the beach and carrying out water sports like snorkeling, scuba diving etc.

The place offers mild warm weather accompanying a bit of humidity. Rainfall may starts from the mid-month. Days are pleasant with sea breeze which makes it favorable for tourist visits. Beach activities and sighting various attractions of the place is enjoyable.

June month is associated with mostly rainy and cloudy days. Maximum rainfall occurs during June making it the wettest month of the year. This month is prone to thunderstorms and heavy rains which makes it difficult for sightseeing and other tourist activities. It may not be the best month for visiting Andaman. But you can get off-season discounts during monsoons.

Monsoon season continues and this month is associated with heavy showers. Sometimes thunderstorms also occur during July. Maximum numbers of days are accompanied by rains which disrupt tourists from sightseeing and other activities. It is not an ideal time for visiting Andaman. On a plus side, hotels/resorts rates and packages prices are comparatively lower than peak season.

The rainy season still continues sometimes accompanying thunderstorms. Most of the days are cloudy and there will be little clear sky. It may not be a good idea to visit during this month as the rain may disrupt you from sightseeing and other tourist activities. Being off-season month, hotels/resorts rates are lesser as compared to peak months.

Rainy
September days are also rainy while the temperature falls down to comfortable level. There will be many days with rainfall which makes it difficult to enjoy sightseeing and other types of activities. Days with sunshine will be less. The natural surroundings look beautiful in rains. This time is recommended to rain lovers and nature enthusiasts. Moreover, hotels/resorts offer discounted rates during monsoons.

It is the best month to visit Andaman. The weather is very comfortable, pleasing and not chilly. There will be plenty of clear blue skies. Beautiful days with pleasant climate while nighttime can be a little cool. This month is perfect for sightseeingand enjoying all types of water activities. It is also the season of Island Tourism Festival.

we are 6 adult(3family) reaching andaman (portblair)on 5th nov and will depart from andamn( portblair) on 12th. we want to avail star class accomodation and AC car for tavel at andaman .
