Best Season / Best time to visit Ambala
The weather condition in Ambala can be classified as a continental type of climate with extremely hot summers that are dry and unbearably cold winters. These extreme conditions are further emphasized by the monsoon season which is warm and muggy. The most suitable time to visit the place is around the months of October and November.
The summer months are from March to June. The barometer can climb up to a maximum of 45°C during the summer months. The lowest summer temperature is generally around 35°C. The month of May is the hottest part of the year and visitors may find it uncomfortable to stay in Ambala during this time.
The months of July, August and September constitute the monsoon season. Monsoons here are similar to those in other parts of the state, in terms of the short duration of the monsoon season. The level of humidity during the monsoon season is much higher than the summer months and the place can be best avoided during this time.
The post monsoon season is during October and November and one can expect to find cool and pleasant conditions.
The winter season starts in December and temperatures gradually reduce till the end of February. The lowest temperature that can be expected is around four degrees Celsius. The highest temperature during the winter season is around 17°C.
