Ambala is a city in the state of Haryana in the Ambala district. Ambala is located near the Punjab border and it has a strong presence of both the air force and the military. Ambala is an important transit center for many tourists who have to travel to Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir.
A memorial is located at the Ambala Airfield and this is dedicated to all those who lost their lives in war. This is a good place to visit while travelling to the city of Ambala.
There are many religious sites of significance that are located in and around the city and these include both Sikh and Hindu religious places. There are three main Gurudwaras that are located in the city and these are the Manji Sahib Gurudwara, Sis Ganj Gurudwara and Badshahi Bag Gurudwara. These are generally associated with three main gurus of the Sikh religion.
Other places in the city include Ambala Muncipal Park, Hathi Kanna Mandir, Agarsein Chowk, Sardar Bazar and Yadvendra Udyan Gardens. Udyan Gardens is located around 70 km from the place and the site is divided into four sections known as Sheesh Mahal, Rang Mahal, Jal Mahal and Guldasta. This place is worth a visit while taking a trip to the city of Ambala.
