Best Season / Best time to visit Akola
The climatic conditions in the town are predominantly dry and hot. Summers experience high temperatures and general dryness. The monsoon season is not extensive and the place receives only limited rainfall. Winters are also dry and cold and one can expect extremes of temperature during the different seasons.
The summer season lasts from the month of March to May. During this time the temperatures are in the high thirties and the temperatures range from a minimum of 34°C and can rise up to a maximum of 45°C. The highest recorded temperature at the place is around 47°C. Visiting during the summer season is not advisable. The humidity is low even during the summer season.
Monsoon season is from June to September. This is the only time of the year that the place gets any significant amount of rainfall. The humidity is relatively high during the monsoon season. The months of October and November experience windy conditions from the North East and the place is generally much cooler.
The winter season is from December to February and the temperatures range from a minimum of 11°C to a maximum of 30°C. The lowest recorded temperature is around 2°C.
