Sultan Ahmad Shah’s mosque which is also known as Ahmad Shah mosque is one of the oldest mosque in Ahmedabad. Build by the founder if Ahmedabad city Sultan Ahmad Shah in the year 1414 AD, it is located on the left side of the Bhadra fort. The intricate carvings using black and white marbles adorn the prayer halls in the mosque. A separate room for women is located at the north east corner of the mosque. The mosque which served as the place of worship for noble men of the kingdom, today invites thousands of tourists from all over the country.
